Adoptable GHR Dogs

Benji

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP!

Please consider opening your heart and home to this great guy.
The sweetest, most adorable black pittie. Benji is a 3-year-old, 67 lb. pit bull who was saved from a high kill shelter in California just in the nick of time! He is easy to handle and well-mannered. Benji has potential to do well with other dogs with proper introductions but would also thrive in a home with no other dogs. Benji would not do well in a home with cats.

Benji deserves a loving foster or adoptive home! He is an incredibly sweet boy, he loves to play, loves toys and LOVES to cuddle. He needs to be an only dog or needs a family willing and able to give him time to decompress from shelter life by keeping him separate from their existing pack for a couple of weeks. Benji is now patiently waiting to find his forever home where he can continue to heal and thrive in a loving, structured environment.

Can you open your home to this handsome man?

Toby

After five weeks in a professional board and training program, Toby has truly blossomed into a happy, eager-to-please companion. With his regal demeanor and loving personality, Toby is a smart, cuddly dog who shows deep respect for his caretakers.
He loves going on walks, learns quickly, and especially enjoys affection from people. During his training, Toby has not only gained valuable skills but also discovered how to enjoy life as a dog. Now, he’s ready to settle into his well-earned retirement home.
To ensure a smooth transition, Toby’s integration into a new home will follow a clear, structured protocol led by his trainer. While we're unsure how he would do with small dogs or cats, he does well with large, calm dogs.

Toby is looking for a home where he can continue to thrive — could that be with you?

Two Bit

While he may be timid when you initially meet him, Two Bit is a true, loyal friend who wants a family to call his own. Two Bit was brought to our attention after a good Samaritan found him waiting outside the door of an empty motel room. He was abandoned. Thankfully, the good Samaritan brought him home and was able to reach out to us. Thankfully, the good Samaritan brought him home and was able to reach out to us. Thankfully, the good Samaritan brought him home and was able to reach out to us. Although his face looks very much like a chihuahua, he is an interesting mix, weighing approximately 20 pounds with long legs. Two Bit is still pending medical work but appears to be healthy overall. He will need a dental and bloodwork before he's officially adopted. Two Bit does well with other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog his size or smaller. He has made friends in his foster home and can be playful. He's excellent on a leash and loves to be near people. Two Bit is estimated to be between 10-12 years old.

Theo

After being rescued from a hoarding situation, Theo has warmed up quickly in his foster home! This little guy has so much personality! It's wonderful watching him seek attention and wanting to cuddle. He is an adorable senior pup who is full of love and energy! Theo has a lot of love to give, and he's looking for a human companion who can give him the love and care he deserves. He is a smart and curious dog who can be playful but also enjoys a good snuggle on the couch. Theo enjoys walks but still needs training on how to walk on a leash. Theo's echocardiogram showed that he is asymptomatic but has significant heart enlargement due to valve issues. He is on vetmedin and furosemide to slow the onset of heart failure. He'll need both medications for the rest of his life.

Honey

Meet Honey – The Sweetest Tripod You’ll Ever Snuggle!

Looking for a loyal couch companion with a heart of gold and a smile that’ll melt you?

Say hello to Honey, a 10-year-old “pocket pittie” who’s as sweet as her name suggests!

Honey may be missing a leg, but don’t let that fool you—this little powerhouse still has plenty of pep in her step! She loves to play with her doggy friends, hop up on the couch for prime cuddle time, and follow her favorite humans from room to room like the devoted little shadow she is.

Honey thrives in a calm, loving home, ideally with someone retired or working from home. She has a bit of separation anxiety (can you blame her? she just loves her people that much!), so she’d do best in a home where she’s not left alone for long stretches. Bonus points if there’s another friendly dog around—she loves having a canine buddy to keep her company. Plus, she has a soft spot for kitty cat friends too!

If you’re looking for a snuggle bug who will fill your home with love, loyalty, and the occasional happy hop, Honey’s your girl. Come meet her—you bring the couch; she’ll bring the cuddles!
